I joined the quantum optics group in 2008 as a Ph.D. student. My project deals with Cavity-QED and Bose-Einstein condensates. In particular, the aim is to evaluate the many-body impact on atom-surface interactions of the Casimir-Polder type, inspired by experiments with BECs trapped near a surface.
